I have been writing for as long as I can remember, and apparently was even writing in the womb. I am afflicted with a delusional belief that I will somehow make it as a professional writer and thus fulfil my lifelong dream of finally being able to live a solitary, Quasimodo existence in some garret somewhere away from all people and amongst my dear animal friends. Although I enjoy reading widely, my primary interests are literary fiction and horror/weird fiction, a genre which I believe is criminally maligned and underrated. My work is inspired by many authors, including Thomas Ligotti, Ramsey Campbell, Virginia Woolf, Kazuo Ishiguro and Stephen King. I primarily write fiction, although have recently begun exploring non-fiction writing. I am currently researching essays on Virginia Woolf and Otessa Moshfegh.
